Tenders are hereby invited for the Network interconnect facility and data center hosting services for the client. Scope: In order to provide a reliable interconnect service, the facility must have the following minimum requirements: - Lockable rack space, of at least 3 x 47U 1200mm deep cabinets with capacity for expansion, - Cabinet installation, this includes a full cabinet installation with a minimum redundant (A & B feeds) power of 1.1KVA AC available, - An interconnection between the City’s equipment cabinets to client’s optic fibre cable infrastructure that supports the its existing Multi Protocol Label switching (MPLS) transmission network, - An interconnection neutral data centre environment that will enable the City to connect its equipment to any service provider located within the facility, - Wireless installation facility that will enable the City to install a microwave or satellite radio equipment should it need to make use of a radio link, - Clean dual power feed (AC supply) of 99.999% to each rack (free of voltage spikes and drops, voltage ripple or noise that is outside the ideal electrical sine waveform), - Risk free environment (the building must have safety systems, i.e. temperature and humidity control, fire detection and suppression, access control, CCTV security, etc), - Adherence to South African Department of Labour Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, - Effective Cooling for Telecommunications Transmission Equipment, - Onsite support – 24x7x365 human on request, governed by a suitable Service Level Agreement. The minimum service availability required is as follows: - 99.99% interconnection service availability, - 99.999% power availability, - 99.99% Temperature control of 260C, +/- 40C, - 24/7 technical support on request, - 24/7 access to the facility when the need arises. Extension of closing date: Proposals are hereby requested for the provision of datacentre and hosting services (colocation) for a period of five (5) years. Scope of requirements: The colocation facility shall deliver technical space, power, cooling, fire protection, security, and connectivity to ensure a fail-safe 24/7 computing site with site support.
