Research and development services and related consultancy services — CPI 705
CPI is seeking to establish a Framework of suppliers who can provide support to the business on an “as and when” basis. The suppliers appointed to this framework will be expected to specialise in one of the identified themed Lots see Tender document for full details:
Lot 1: General Economic Support;
Lot 2: Project Evaluation;
Lot 3: Bespoke in-house Training.
General Economic Support
Accross CPI Sites (Wilton, Darlington, Sedgefield)
— the economic development of strategic business cases for new emerging technologies / business units,
— development of impact assessments for collaborative projects,
— undertaking Cost Benefits Analyses to support bids,
— analysing Impact data.
The contract agreement for the Economist Framework will commence on 16.7.2018 and will continue to 15.7.2019, depending on satisfactory contract performance there will be options to extend the agreement for a further x 2 12 month periods to 15.7.2020 and 15.7.2021.
CPI also have the option to extend the contract for a further 12 month period to 15.7.2022. The maximum contract term for the Economist Framework will be 4 years (48 months).
Project Evaluation
Across CPI Sites — (Wilton, Darlington, Sedgefield)
Dependent on the type of project and funding body, there may be a requirement to work towards a specified evaluation framework, if this is the case this will be stipulated within the Mini-tender. For project evaluations which do not have a pre-published framework, we would seek an outline evaluation as part of the supplier’s mini-competition submission.
Bespoke in-house Training
Examples of the type of training may include aspects such as:
— How to carry out a Cost Benefit Analysis,
— Understanding general economic principles and terminology,
— Principles for conducting an internal project evaluation.
