Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Repairs to B charger long travel wheels and wheel mountings. Scope of Work: Repairs to B charger long travel wheels: - Collect wheel from Shop 17; - Strip out all bearings; - Inspect the bearing journals and the shaft, if any damages perform all necessary welding repairs on the shaft; - Repairs to bearing hub on the wheel; - Repair all bearing blocks x 6; - Machine the wheel to remove the bears and to make the outer diameter even; - Repair the wheel by rolling and fit a strip if forged E24 steel to make up for the worn out material (basically fitting a steel tire made of E24 steel to ensure the wheels are restored to original dimensions); - Reassemble the wheels, paint and deliver to Shop 17; - Contractor to strip the wheels complete with the axle, clean out the area to allow for safe working conditions; - A complete repaired set of wheels consist of 2 x wheels, 4 x bearings, 2 x axle boxes 1 x shaft); - Supplier to provide own tool such as jacks, hydraulic power packs and spanners" B charger wheels: - Replace 2 x sets of wheels with bearings and bearing blocks.
