Re-Advertisement: Quotations are hereby requested for the following: Service, Repair and maintenance of a 200kva Generator for a period of 1 Year for Cape Town Forensic Chemistry Laboratory (FCL-CPT). Scope: The service shall comprise of the following: - To check the coolant level and top up if necessary; - To grease, oil all moving parts and clean the generator and all its components; - To check oil, water levels, top-up if necessary and check the battery and ensuring all the terminals are tight and clean; - To do performance check for the generator and test the generator at least half an hour (changing over to be done only on approval from the technical and quality manager of Laboratory); - To check automatic starting in full test mode with simulated faults on each mains phase and check the proper working of all parts including the protection devices and fault indicators and changing over equipment and battery charger; - To drain and dispose of unsuitable diesel per 10 litres according to legislation; - To replace the oil, fuel filters and check, cleaning and/or replacing the air filter; - To check the coolant level and top up if necessary; - To check the battery and ensuring all terminals are tight and clean; - Shall test and run the generator for half an hour.
