Quotations are hereby invited for the Inspection of Lifting Equipment’s and Tackles and Load Testing of Lifting equipment at the CSIR Scientia, Kloppersbos, Paardefontein and Cottesloe Campuses for a period of 3 years. The scope of work is as follows: Perform 6 monthly inspection and annual load testing on the following types of lifting equipment’s, according to the relevant SANS regulations (latest), manufacturers specifications for each equipment and as per outlined on the Occupational Health and Safety Act No. 85 of 1993 and Regulations - latest edition (Driven machinery regulation, item 18). The service provider must quote on each line item for inspection & load testing of all lifting equipment’s as per attached Bill of Quantity (BOQ). Conduct Non-Destructive Testing on all hooks and load carrying components prior load testing. • Overhead cranes; • Manual chain hoist/lever hoist; • Electric hoist; • Electric winch; • Crawls; • Engine lifter/ stacker; • Pallet trolleys; • Vehicle lift; • Lifting structure/ monorail beams; • A-frame/ mobile gantry; • Wall mounted jib cranes; • Lifting cage/platform; • Forklifts; • Drum lifter/plate gripper; • Plate grab.
