Scope: - The works that the contractor is to perform pertains to the structural maintenance, corrosion removal and painting of five (5) Mafi Haulers located at Transnet Port Terminals, Pier 2 Container Terminal in the port of Durban; - The purpose of the maintenance intervention is to preserve the asset and increase its useful lifespan; - The works to be executed on these Hauler"s is concentrated mainly on and around the H-Frame channels, cabin arrangement (interior, exterior, roof and guards), handrails, access staircases, fifth wheel, guard plates and side mirror mounting brackets; - The objective for this works is to ensure that the structural integrity of these Haulers remain intact; - The works needs to be planned and executed by employing a quality system methodology; - The Contractor must provide all the necessary resources such as skills, materials, tools, equipment, and labor as required to perform the works. Scope: The service provider should do the following: 1. Collect two Pistons Stops at a time, only collect the balance once the first two is serviced/repaired and reinstalled onsite; 2. Clean piston stops; 3. Drain all oils; 4. Drain all nitrogen from accumulators; 5. Strip all valves from the manifold; 6. Clean manifold and clean all valves; 7. Perform leakage test on valves to determine the functionality. Replace if not functional; 8. Test Pressure gauge; 9. Strip cylinder completely and clean all parts; 10. Measure up all parts and tolerances to OEM drawings; 11. Replace wear strips if it is the new design only; 12. Strip chrome and replace the chrome on the piston stop rod; 13. If the design is old, change the old design to the new design which includes the wear strips; 14. Replace all seals; 15. Replace top cap and wear ring if found not useable; 16. Redrill and tap the mounting holes for easy installation; 17. Clean up all mounting and attachment holes; 18. Supply new mounting bolts grade 10.9; 19. Assemble piston stop; 20. Mount the cleaned manifold and valves onto the piston stop; 21. Fill with new oil; 22. Pre charge accumulator; 23. Test the piston stop in a simulation test bench; 24.
