Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Provision of hopper 1 repairs for Transnet Soc Ltd operating as Transnet Port Terminals at the Port of Richards Bay. Scope: a) Pressure wash hopper with water to expose all areas with defect; b) Strip hopper loading plate, bin, gates and all other associate covers to easily notice redundant structures; c) Fabricate and new install hopper bin; d) Fabricate I-beams for which the loading plate and the bin rest on it. The I-beam varies with length with same beam of 240×140mm; e) Fabricate six I-beam which are used as hopper footings (stands). Each beam is 10×150×150×3000mm; f) Replace 2×hopper loading plate (12×1500×6000 Benox). Plate must be bend as per hopper profile (Not welded); g) Replace 2×I-beam, each 10×135×190×5400. The beam is installed horizontal taking the weight of loading plate and the bin; h) Replace 2×hopper bin cover plate, each 5×3000×60000; i) Repair hopper gates plate, hinges and hydraulic hooks. Install flat bars and studs (use M24) install gates locking mechanism studs with base plate; j) Replace bin liners (use UHMWPE green with a thickness of 16mm and M16 counter Sunk bolt). Replace skirting rubber to cover a length of 12m; k) Install 30mm mild steel handrail for a length of 10m; l) Reinforce hopper platform, ladders and replace 2 × reaction angle iron (60×60×3000); m) Repair all dents, assemble all part, install hopper on site and reinforce; n) Replace damaged loading plate on loading side (use mild steel of 10 mm thickness); m) Adhere to TPT color coding, prime and paint all the structure as it was found.
