Quotations are hereby invited for the appointment of the service provider to render an Analytical Service on an as an when required bases for period of two (02) years. Specifications: - Routine preparation and curing of 100 x 100 x 100mm geopolymer cubes, in triplicates (mixed design provided by Council for Geoscience; varying curing ages); - Routine preparation and curing of 160 mm x 40 mm x 40 mm geopolymer beams, in triplicates (mixed design provided by Council for Geoscience; varying curing ages); - Preparation of geopolymer cylinders from 100 x 100 x 100mm geopolymer cubes (mixed design provided by Council for Geoscience), followed by their hydraulic conductivity testing using the recommended method of the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM), in triplicates; - Accredited provider of SANS 5863:2006 Compressive Strength of Hardened Concrete method. The service provider must be equipped with equipment up to 2500kN load cell capacity; - Accredited provider of SANS 5864:2006 Flexural Strength of Hardened Concrete method. - Accredited provider of SANS 6255:2006 Compressive Strength of Hardened Mortar method.
