Bids are hereby invited to appoint a panel of suppliers for the provision of welding services for a period of 3 years. Scope: The scope includes, but is not limited to: • Expertise: Proficiency in various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick welding) and operating specialized welding equipment; • Blueprint Interpretation: Reading and understanding technical drawings, specifications, and measurements to determine project requirements; • Equipment & Material Selection: Choosing the correct welding equipment, machines, and consumables (like filler metals) for different metals and project needs; • Preparation: Setting up, aligning, and securing metal components using jigs, clamps, and hand tools according to specifications. This also includes cleaning and preparing metal surfaces by cutting, grinding, and removing impurities; • Welding and Fabrication: Fusing metal parts using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to create new structures, repair existing items, or join components; • Inspection and Quality Control: Monitoring the welding process and inspecting completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards, are free of flaws, and have a good finish; • Safety: Following strict safety regulations, wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and operating equipment safely; • Complexity: Ability to understand the intricacy of welding required for various scenarios and meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality; • Other related services as may be required; • The bidder shall, based on the overall objective of the scope of work to be performed and the bidder"s expertise, identify any obvious omissions from the scope that they believe to be essential for meeting the overall objectives. The bidder shall include this in the price of the work to be performed and submit it for negotiation; • The bidder may comply with all technical and commercial requirements of this bid.
