Quotations are hereby invited for appointment of a suitable, qualified and experienced professional service provider to draft building plans for Alternative Building Technology (ABTS) houses for future development of emergency housing in the municipality (WC024). Scope: The scope of work to be carried out by the Professional Service Provider shall consist of providing building plans that will be utilized as the standard for all ABT housing projects in the WC024. It is important to note that the ABT houses will have the following dimension options: • A single 40m² unit with a bathroom inside; • A single 40m² unit without a bathroom inside; • A semidetached 80m² unit with two bathrooms for each family; • A single 24m² unit with a bathroom inside; • A single 24m² unit without a bathroom inside. The building plans for each size should contain, but not be limited to, the following: • Roofing - IBR AZ150 hot-dipped galvanized roof sheeting, roof trusses pitch between 7 - 11 degrees with 0-300 mm overhangs on the eave and 0 mm on the gable ends; • Ceilings - 6 mm nailed-up PVC ceilings, minimum floor to ceiling height 2,400 mm; • 1 x lockable door per room; • Wall panels - to be +-40 mm thick, door frames are to be adequately bolted to walls. Wall panels to have a minimum vertical load bearing capacity of 1 ton in the centre and 1.8 tons on the seam between two panels; • 1 x (900 mm x 900 mm) anodized aluminium window with glass insert per room (E.g. 1 in the bathroom, 1 in the bedroom, 1 in the open plan lounge and kitchen); • Plug sockets 1 per room, double Shuko plug sockets, lear or similar equivalent (16 Amp), 4x4 double; • Light fittings: Ceiling-mounted 4 ft single or double open channel v-shape waterproof 1.2; • Meter fluorescent lights, ceiling-mounted bowl fittings JD 90 lights or equivalent in bathrooms, external bulkheads IP44 circular 16w 2D external round bulkhead with porcelain KO or equivalent; • Sanitation and plumbing, each modular unit must have 1 x bathroom with the following: 1 flushable ceramic toilet and minimum 9L cistern complete with toilet seat and all plumbing connections, 1 x white porcelain, wash hand basin with pedestal or similar design, 1 x pillar tap with cold function, 1 x single SS304 kitchen sink, single bowl, single drainer drop in stainless steel +-L 750 mm x 400 mm with 1 tap and waste plumbing connection, a sink to be installed in the kitchen; • Load bearing capacity of the floors are rated at +/- 250kg/m².
