Quotations are hereby invited for once off service for Umkhombe UPS. Scope: The maintenance and servicing requirements for UPS systems shall include and not be limited to the following: - Inspect UPS and its associates; - Housekeeping of installations; - Maintain electrical systems; - Measure and record battery cells, inverter output voltage, current; - Remove dust build up from batteries and UPS; - Record any alarm conditions and repair them when instructed; - Carry out lamp test and static and manual by-pass switch test; - Compare display values with the recorded, and calibrate if required; - Take necessary measurement and record them; - Record any excessive heat build-up in the UPS room as this reduces battery life; - Check the battery environment for temperature and humidity; - Clean the internal battery terminals; - Take DC float voltage measurements; - Check the mechanical soundness of all battery connections; - Test individual battery cells and load test the batteries if necessary; - To inform the Client"s IT Manager when replacing faulty batteries; - Compile a comprehensive maintenance report; - Check for loose connections and hot spots; - Check battery charger assembly; - Clean UPS and blow out; - Input and output voltages; - Check static switch; - Check inverter assembly.
