Quotations are hereby invited for the appointment of an accredited service provider to provide trade test for 05 bricklaying and 04 painting APTCoD students in Chris Hani District as per specification to the Eastern Cape Department of Public Works & Infrastructure. Scope: • Number of APTCoD students to be trained: Five (05) students for bricklaying four (04) students for Painting; Venue: Training will be conducted in the institution awarded for Trade test; Duration (in days): 4 days. Requirements for the trade tests: (a) Trade test must be conducted as follows for bricklaying: • 220mm stretcher bond wall; • 220mm English bond wall; • 280mm cavity wall; • 190mm concrete block wall; • Building segmental arch; • 220mm stretcher bond wall with pier; • Build brick steps. (b) Trade test must be conducted as follows for painting: • Do glazing in steel window; • Paint ceiling surfaces; • Paint wall surface (brush); • Paint window/door frame/door; • Match colour as given; • Paint of roof; • Erect scaffold.
