Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Supply, installation and commissioning of a new hydrographic multibeam echo sounder (including Hydrographic Inertial Navigation (INS)/Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)) solution and sound velocity sensor. The Institute is seeking to procure a fully functional new multibeam echo sounder and inertial navigation system from a sole supplier including downstream support (provision of additional peripheral devices, maintenance, spares replenishment, software, technical and training support). The combined system (multibeam echo sounder and inertial navigation) will be commissioned on board RV uKwabelana based in Gqeberha. The solution will be deployed from the institutes existing marine coastal craft and using existing over-the side poles with uniform mounts. The new multibeam echo sounder system (i.e. including the inertial navigation system, sound velocity sensor and peripheral devices/software as required) will be used for marine scientific research from coastal waters (10 m) to open ocean (800+ m depth).
